About the artist - Jeanette Carr:

I was born and lived in Rhodesia for most of my life, where I worked as an artist while bringing up a family.

 

I was trained as an artist here in London at St Martins (now Central Saint Martins), and I’ve been resettled here for the last 15 years.

 

Most of my previous influences were from within Africa, people, animals, climate and colours. They still are, to some extent and no doubt 

 

will always be, however, I’m enjoying all the new (and again) subject matter and the new palette of my life here.
